Open HOURS
We are open to the public every Saturday & Sunday, from 10am-2pm. Bring the whole family out to explore our zoo, meet amazing animals from around the world, and even take your picture with a python or pony! Move at your on pace as you feed tortoises, play with our friendly petting zoo pals, and check out the inhabitants of our Reptile House! Reptile Shows will be happening throughout the day, as well as other special encounters! Tickets must be purchased for all guests over the age of 12 months. Tickets are $8 per person when purchased online, and $10 at the door. Feed cups can be purchased in the gift shop if you wish to feed our hungry tortoise herd, petting zoo pals, and aviary friends!
Toddler Time
During Toddler Time, the zoo is open is from 10am-2pm to children 5 & under and their families. The 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, September-November and February-May. Admission is $7 for anyone over 12 months. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and there are a limited number available. Produce for our tortoises & petting zoo will be available for purchase, as well as drinks & snacks. if your little ones aren't quite ready for school, you can still bring them to The Learning Zoo and let them discover nature at their own pace! Toddler Time is designed to allow children 5 and under to explore, discover, and engage with animals from around the world. We have unique activities and stations designed to engage all of their senses. Feel fur, feather, bone, and more at the Texture Table. Visit our Petting Zoo, Tortoise Feeding Yard, Reptile House, and more! Be sure to catch one of our Animal Encounters, where you can meet a snake or lizard up close and get a picture with them! Homeschool Events
On the 2nd Friday of each month during the school year, homeschoolers from all over the Houston area come to The Learning Zoo to bond over their shared excitement for nature and science!
