PAINT WITH A PORCUPINE!

Have you ever met a porcupine up close? Now's your chance!
This unique and colorful encounter allows guests to have a personal experience with Willow our African Crested Porcupine!
This 30 minute encounter is available as an add-on to our VIP Experience or a Guided Tour, for guests ages 8 and up.
After helping one of our keepers prepare snacks, you will have the chance to meet the world’s 3rd largest rodent, while feeding them and learning about their lives in the African Bush.
Willow is an experienced artist, and with your help she will create a masterpiece for you to take home! Just choose your colors, and watch as she gives the canvas her own personal touch!

This encounter must be booked in conjunction with a VIP Experience or a Guided Tour, and will take place after the rest of your tour has concluded.
$25 per person, maximum of 4 people per encounter. Children under 10 must have an adult book with them.

In South Africa, porcupines are called Stekelvark, whih means "thorn-pig" in Afrikaans!
Animal encounters at The Learning Zoo require that participants be able to follow directions and act safely around animals, including those that are potentially dangerous when startled.
